PILRS
OF HOPE

 Because the system is broken, not you

Public Interest Lawyer Resource & Support (PILRS) Group for Women/-identifying

You chose public interest law to make a difference, but it can take a toll on you. You are practicing amidst systemic inequities in a field historically created and led by privileged white men. No one teaches you how to handle the non-legal issues that affect you, including implicit biases, “bro”-culture, self-doubt, micro-aggressions, stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout.

If you are a woman/-identifying public interest lawyer, you are invited to join us to:

(1) investigate how the broken system affects you, and how to navigate it (not internalize it);
(2) step into your authentic power;
(3) learn how to thrive, not just survive.

3 Modules + 1 Bonus:

MODULE 1: THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN, NOT YOU
Shine a light on the ways the system, which was not built for you, affects you. What are the negative thoughts and feelings being internalized (e.g., self-doubt, self-blame, feeling like the outsider in the room), and what you can do about them?

MODULE 2: STEP INTO YOUR AUTHENTIC POWER Explore ways to shift your narrative and mindset, and stand in your power.  Explore your strengths and values, and how to show up with greater confidence.

MODULE 3: PILLARS OF SUPPORT
Learn how to create support for your body and brain, so you can thrive and not just survive. You will learn why self-care is brain care, the neuroscience of stress, how to be more stress resilient, and the importance of allies.

BONUS MODULE: WHAT WE NEED NOW
What’s important now, based on prior sessions?
